PROFILE
David Hyun, M.D., directs Pew’s state health solutions project, which works with policymakers to reduce health care costs and reach better outcomes by improving how data is used. Before joining Pew, Hyun practiced medicine at Children’s National Medical Center, where he developed and co-chaired its antibiotic stewardship program. He also was an assistant professor of pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine. Hyun has published and lectured widely on managing antibiotic use in inpatient and outpatient settings.

He completed his residency in pediatrics at Indiana University and a fellowship program in pediatric infectious disease at Baylor College of Medicine.
